Using Off the Clock
Writing posts
Posts are short notes to a space. They can carry pictures, links, places, and more.
The composer
Draft outline
- From the feed: Compose opens a dialog with a space picker. From a space page: it posts to that space.
- Text, then optional attachments: images, audio, video, a link card, a place.
- Post, or Save draft to finish later (Drafts).

Mentions and hashtags
Draft outline
Typing @ suggests members; # makes a tag that feeds can select. Mentioning someone notifies them if they can read the space.
Links and rich cards
Draft outline
- Pasting a link makes a card with a title and picture.
- YouTube, Spotify, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Apple Music and Podcasts, TIDAL, Bandcamp, Twitch, and TikTok cards can play in place after you allow it once per provider (Play once, Always, Not now). Reset on Settings.
- A public Bluesky post becomes a quoted card.

Replies, quotes, likes, and reposts
Draft outline
- Replies stay in the space of the post.
- Quoting: "Allow quoting" on your post's footer decides whether others may quote it.
- Likes and reposts are records in your account too.

Places
Draft outline
Add a place by searching an address; the post shows the place and a small map. Search uses OpenStreetMap's Nominatim.
Editing and deleting
Draft outline
Confirm what's possible: delete from the overflow menu; editing isn't supported (posts are records).
