Running the community
Moderation
Off the Clock moderates mostly by who is in a space. Labels and policies handle the rest. The rules every member agrees to are in the Moderation Policy; this page is how admins carry them out.
Membership first
Everyone was invited; removing a grant removes access to a space. A record from someone who isn't a member is hidden everywhere.
Labels
Mark content nsfw or spoiler, or shadow it. See Labels.
Policies
Say what a space expects before anyone posts. See Space policies.
What admins can't do
Be honest: admins can't delete a member's record (it's in their account); they hide it with a label or remove the member.
Grounds for removal
Mirror the Moderation Policy §5: anything illegal, offensive, or hateful, or making others uncomfortable being themselves, means removal. There is no appeal at this time. A space's own policy adds to these, never replaces them.
A playbook
Short scenarios: a spoiler, an off-topic post, a harassing member, a compromised account.
